the life of a thesis
This week I’m really energized about design. And I really need to create. I’m trying really hard to release myself from the formulaic prose of my ‘thesis narratives’ and throw myself into design– even if it ends up being gratuitous in the end. After all, if there is one thing I am positively sure of, it is that the process is often harder and more gratifying than the result. So what the heck am I waiting for? Tonight, after finishing up more freelance (urgh!), I plan on playing with pattern, type, and some of the definitions of emergence that I’ve been twittering. Also, looking into some non-traditional forms of instantaneous portrayals of emergence (i.e., words in dust, patterns in snow, etc). We’ll see where this leads (come May, it should be clearer, right?).
Note to my November self from my mid-March self: YES, things do get clearer, just not easier. Love it, and live it.
