Out of found imagery . . .
. . . emerges pattern.
Using a cardboard square as my starting point, I quickly created three photocopies and used those as the modular pieces (or starting points) for three more complex patterns. Once these patterns were created, I continued working with the concept of refinement over time (as is a quality of emergence) as well as degradation over time (as with photocopies) and tried to enhance that through my over-printing techniques.
